| Review: High? Wheel irregularities Carrie (Sissy Spacek), unleashes her telekinetic rage at his tormentors. It was a huge success in 1976 and scared me silly. It scares me (except for the final sequence), but I still think it's a good solid horror beautifully handled by Brian De Palma. It moves quickly and has some beautiful images (in? Shot all Soft Focus with muted colors) and has almost uniformally good performance. Poor John Travolta is only one way out of his depth playing hood. Amy Irving (how? A student who befriends Carrie), William Cathy (very 70's Afro), Nancy Allen (played by real bitch), Betty Buckley (so young and full of energy) and PJ Vanko ;? IKY (silly, but bearable) in? everything is perfect. But? Levers is accompanied by a beautiful Piper Laurie, who is a very scary account? Temporary as her deranged, religion? Females mother. You? film (by day? individual measures) very discreet when it comes to blood and gore. The last sequence you jump (watch the cars in the background during which - They are moving in the opposite direction!) Just like a? Wear - De Palma really knows? Pm some seniors - has , te feel? hes e be? teenagers and some personal issues here. And we really need a shower sequence Slow-Mo at the beginning? That aside - it's a great movie. See letter box. |
